a farm growing hospitality
We are a small family farm near Columbia, South Carolina raising registered Nigerian Dwarf Goats, a laying flock of chickens, and an English Shepherd dog named Brighid.
When thinking about a name for our farm we were inspired by the story of St. Alban and his radical hospitality. We dreamed of a place that was welcoming to all, people and animals, who came there. A place that provides “a pleasant and sustaining environment” - a hospitable home and farm. We strive to provide our animals the best life we can. A life where they, as much as possible, can express their goatiness, chickeness, etc., while fulfilling their role here on our farm. We also desire to make this farm, with which we have been blessed, a blessing to others.
